What do you first picture when someone says "nurse", how would you end this sentence "stay at home ...". Both of these jobs have been typecast though the use of visual media. If we were to type in nurse into "Google" we see several pictures of women come up.
After taking some crude photos we see all the pictures of females. Yet no males, Now what happens if we type "stay at home" to symbolize stay at home mum and dads.
We see a similar trend once again , we only see picture of females taking care of the children, This is where i think the term "feminists" has roughly over turned the ideals of humanity. females are starting to be seen as doctors and workers while males still have to be stuck to the same gender roles that the visual media has place. Now many of you may think "oh but if we were to type the word "doctor" into Google we would see many pictures of males. This is where you are wrong.

As we can see we have a majority of male doctors, But we are still able to see some females in there. This objectifies males to a point where males aren't "Men" if they are a stay at home dad or a male nurse. This is news and visual medias use of symbolism making males think that being a stay at home dad or a male nurse is in fact un-masculine.This limits the amount one male can do and in fact effect his community making there less male nurse and less stay at home dads. The media puts these images in our minds to guide males into making them feel insecure with the life decisions that they made, This resulting in putting male into jobs that they don't want to do and placing more stress on those who fight the stereotypes and the hard workers that want to be in a job which is seen as feminine. I believe that if we would want gender equity we must have a equal understanding of how both males and females are objectified and ex-spell the idea of feminist and join together to form equal rights and i believe the quote below fully expresses my idea and conveys the message I am am trying to show.
